TDEA Dance/Drill Team Spring Assessment (Pilot)

The TDEA Dance Team Assessment Committee has begun working with sub-committee members towards developing the State assessment model that will be proposed to UIL in June 2025, in Austin, Texas. Sub-committee members were selected and invited to be part of the team post-TDEA Convention 2024. They have been a wonderful addition to the work that has been laid out and a representation of different backgrounds and areas of Texas. All membership is encouraged to attend and listen in on the council meeting. Dates and locations for upcoming 24-25 pilot assessments are underway!

  • Registration Opens December 15, 2024
  • Each location will be capped at 50 teams, registrations are first come first serve.
  • You do not have to be in the region where the assessment is taking place. 
  • Registration is $300 per team
    • ​Payments are due by January 15, 2025
    • No refunds will be issued after January 15, 2025
    • Cancellations received between December 1 and January 15 will be charged a $20 cancellation fee. 
  • Teams may enter one routine of any genre 
  • Varsity level teams only at this time.  
  • All performance groups welcome that are considered the varsity level. 
  • Performances will be scheduled approximately between 10 am and 7:30 pm.  
    • ​Schedules will be released at least two weeks prior to the event.
