Convention Committees

TDEA values the active participation of its members and encourages members to become involved in the organization.  Please consider volunteering for one of the committees below during the registration process.  For more information about a specific committee, email the committee chairperson listed below.

Administrator Committee-  Assists in developing curriculum for the administrator strand of convention​After Hours Committee- Assists in set-up and organization of After Hours Social
Advocacy Committee All-State Committee- Assists in the coordination of the All-State students and activities during conventionAll-State Scholarship Committee- Assists in the coordination of the All-State Scholarship applications and interviews. Awards Committee- Review applications of Director of the Year and Achievement Award nominees; select finalistsBanquet Committee- Assists in assembling centerpieces, planning layout, and setting-up for Banquet​Bereavement Committee- Assists in honoring those we have lost. Collegiate Committee- Assists in the recruitment of Collegiate members and the organization of Collegiate Showcase.Curriculum Convention Assistants- Assists in the general preparations and organization of workshops while at conventionDEAL Committee- Assists in the organization of DEAL Assessments for a RegionDance Team Evaluation Committee- Assists with the formation of the new Dance Team Assessment. Diversity Committee- provides an advisory role, recommends initiatives, and ensures accountability on diversity and inclusion within TDEAExhibit Hall Committee- Assists in checking in exhibitors; assists members entering the exhibit hallExhibit Hall Liasions - Current exhibitors, who serve as communication between the TDEA Board and other Exhibitors. Recognition Luncheon Committee- Assists in assembling centerpieces, planning layout, and setting-up for Recognition LuncheonRegistration Committee- Assists in the general preparations and organization of convention registration while at conventionScholarship Committee- Assists in the review of Scholarship applicants and the selection of the finalists for TDEA scholarships
